Google and Dell True Chrome Enterprise Laptops!

First time ever Google and Dell team up to introduced Chrome enterprise laptops. And this is an attempt to take on Microsoft. Thus, Google is launching new Chromebook Enterprise devices that it hopes will draw more businesses away from Windows-powered laptops. Earlier the enterprise market is dominated by Microsoft, now Google teamed up with Dell to counter that market as well.  Dell is launching Chrome OS on a pair of its popular business-focused Latitude laptops, offering both a regular clamshell design and a 2-in-1 option.

Chrome Enterprise Laptops

Well, the new Dell Latitude 5400 Chromebook Enterprise and Dell Latitude 5300 2-in-1 Chromebook Enterprise comes out of partnership between Dell and Google. Although the latter also has some updates around Chrome OS enterprise to share. On the other hand, these new machines are based on existing models of Dell’s Latitude laptops, except they run Chrome OS.

For the specs, Dell’s Latitude 5400 is 14-inch Chromebook with the price of $699. Besides that user can choose a 13-inch Latitude 5300 2-in-1 for higher price $819. On the other hand, both can be configured with up to Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 processors, up to 32GB of RAM, and even up to 1TB of SSD storage.

Well, for many there is bit setback, as the many are expecting to have Intel’s new 10th Gen processors. Besides that the Chrome enterprise laptops offer LTE options and USB-C docking.

Brett Hansen, VP of Dell client software and general manager data security said, “They want to be able to choose environments that make the most sense for either my organization, my department or even an individual.” Other than this, he said that these two devices are designed to satisfy the IT execs faced with a new world that demands choice.

Lastly, coming tp the battery life, the 14-inch Latitude 5400’s battery can last up to 20 hours. While the 13-inch Latitude 5300 two-in-one can go for up to 14 hours, depending on configuration and tasks.
